A Presence-Promised-People …

July 3, 2017

“God said, My presence will go with you. I’ll see the journey to the end.” Exodus 33:14 The Message

Every follower of Jesus Christ begins each with this unfathomable promise: Christ is in you. You’re not starting the day hoping that God is with you. You have this truth written all over your heart. God doesn’t play games with His people. He seriously wants your life to reveal the riches of His grace. You’re loved beyond measure and never alone from His presence. What about sin? What about it? Christ is still right there in your life. He didn’t move out because you stepped over a line .. or decided to call your own shots. What you feel and miss is the abiding intimacy of His presence. There is no other group of god followers who carry this promise of presence without having to earn it in some way. But you’ve received this gift by faith. It’s not a mystery how this Jesus reclaimed your life: the cross. The secret is out in the open. Your life is on full display for any and everyone to see the reality of Christ. That’s not a burden to carry. It is a gift to give away. Those that wear it as a burden wear themselves out trying to prove they were worth it. That’s not how God wants you to live today. He wants you to know the freedom of being wildly loved and that He’s not leaving your side. And if you do turn away .. you can turn right back and find He gave you the grace to turn. What if you gave others that freedom today? No one can live up to your life. But any and everyone can live in Christ. And you have this incredible freedom to live such a life: a presence-promised-life in Christ. It only takes a moment …

“God wanted everyone, not just Jews, to know this rich and glorious secret inside and out, regardless of their background, regardless of their religious standing. The mystery in a nutshell is just this: Christ is in you, so therefore you can look forward to sharing in God’s glory. It’s that simple.” Colossians 1:27

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
