When love goes to work …

September 25, 2017

How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.” Ephesians 1:3-4 The Message

Imagine that at this moment the love of Christ is flowing through your veins. It’s working a miracle inside of you. That simply means that the love of Christ is producing in you something so great that it cannot be explained apart from Jesus. It reaches deeper than any darkness. It washes over any despair. It purifies any doubts. Christ didn’t just show you his love then leave you to figure out how to make life work. No … He chose you before the earth was even formed (incomprehensible really!) .. and designed you to find your true identity and purpose in Him. He didn’t design you with incomplete information. The real you .. who you really are .. and how you are really meant to live can only be found in Christ. You can live a counterfeit life productively. But it’s not sustainable. God isn’t going to fight you over the details. He knows the end of every life not abiding in Christ. If His love is indeed flowing through your veins, everyone you meet today has an opportunity to encounter the love of Jesus through you. It means nothing is random when it comes to your life. He’s going to be involved in everything you are doing today.  Are you ready? It only takes a moment …

“It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working in everything and everyone.” Ephesians 1:11-12 The Message

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
