Walking in the rain …

“Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.” Psalm 25:4-5 New Living Translation

There is a foundation that begins each new day: God is good, His Word is true, and Jesus is faithful. God is good: What would your day look like if you began with the thought that God was hostile or indifferent to your day? How would you begin if everything you faced was a possible threat or assault upon your life. The starting point of every day that you begin is with a God who is for you .. for your good .. and has your best interest at heart. God is good in a broken world. He’s that personal. His Word is true: You will decide each day whether or not you will trust what God has revealed through HIs written Word. Every opposing force on earth is aligned against the truth of God’s Word. Why? Because it exposes every lie .. reveals how flaw .. and how broken every man and woman really is .. and points us to one Hope. A shepherd shaped to be a king sang: ‘I’ve banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won’t sin myself bankrupt.’* Why bank something worthless .. untrue or unreliable? His word is true for your life. It reminds you where your true life is found. He’s that personal. Who will you trust? Jesus is faithful: There is nothing you are presently facing or will face that Jesus has not experienced personally and on your behalf. It means you can count on Him for your life .. your fears and concerns .. your unknowns .. and everything/everyone that you have. That could be little or much. It all belongs to Him anyway. Jesus will be faithful and true over your life. He’s that personal. It only takes a moment …

So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering the earth.” Hosea 6:3 New American Standard

About Ken Chester

I love seeing Christ become alive and real in someone's life. It is amazing what happens when Jesus moves in and starts to renovate a life. When I'm not riding my road bike, I am usually walking our corgi named Trinity (she came that way) and corgi-lab named Lowrider. Carolyn and I are transforming our backyard. And a book is on the way. ...Stay tuned ... Ken
